Incoming Cal Semper Fi All-Americans Goff, Anderson, Muhammad, Richardson, Egu, Hughes and Bunte
Home Depot Center/Carson, CA -In Friday's Semper Fi Bowl filled with future Irish (5), Crimson Tide (5), Huskies (6) and Ducks (3), no program was more well-represented than the University of California, with seven future Golden Bears participating in Friday's Semper Fi All-American Bowl in Carson's Home Depot Center.

The Bears were reprented this week by Marin Catholic quarterback Jared Goff, running back Khalfani Muhammad, receiver A.J. Jefferson, offensive tackle Erik Bunte, defensive tackle Garrett Hughes, linebacker Victor Egu and kicker Matt Anderson.

Goff was solid in the West's tough, last-minute 17-14 defeat to the East squad, going 4-for-6 and narrowly missing a 50-yard completion to Bear recruit John Ross, as the deflected ball went through his fingertips. Ross committed to to Washington during the game but has made it clear that his recruitment is not over, with the Bears still solidly in the running.

Hughes had a 4-yard tackle for loss and did a nice job controlling the line of scrimmage. Egu was second on the West squad in tackles with four, playing fast and strong and also shared a sack with future Bruin, Deon Hollins, Jr. Anderson had two extra points on the day in limited opportunities. Jefferson was out with injury, as was mammoth lineman Erik Bunte, who never-the-less enjoyed his opportunity to participate this week and bond with his future teammates.

Also standing out in the game were Cal recruits De La Salle defensive end/tight end Austin Hooper with a 7-yard sack and an additional tackle for loss and Narbonne linebacker/safety Keishawn Berria with a pass defensed that was nearly intercepted for a possible pick-6. Hooper has a final four of Cal, Stanford, Oregon and Oregon State but is largely down to the Bears and Cardinal.

Check out the brief video of Cal commits below and stay tuned for stories and video interviews with many of the future Bears this weekend.
