Cal, whose season has certainly not been what it had hoped, closes it out Saturday against a team doing better than most observers thought possible.
Oregon State, which hosts Cal Saturday night, was picked to finish dead last in the Pac-12 North after going 3-9 in 2011. But coach Mike Riley's bunch are 7-2, ranked 15th in the country and have a shot at the Rose Bowl.
