St. Anthony inside receiver Logan Gamble had a feeling that Cal was going to be the place for him. And after visiting Berkeley today, his feelings were affirmed as the big receiver pulled the trigger for Cal.
"I came up to Cal today with the intention of committing if everything there met my expectations," said Gamble.
"When everything exceeded my expectations, it was really a no-brainer for me.
"Academics  (3.30 gpa) definitely factored in for me, too. I'd like to study business at Cal."
The 6-5/200 Gamble plays on both sides of the ball for St. Anthony but will play inside receiver for Cal. Gamble also played guard for the Saints.
In 2014, in St. Anthony's run-based offense, Gamble had 15 receptions for 284 yards and five touchdowns.
The Bears beat out finalists Arizona, Virginia and Washington State for Gamble's commitment.
