Razor: Tell us why you're here and how you came up with the song.
Steve: This is just a little song I put together. Everyone's familiar with the story by now, that the
Stanfurd Rugby team has forfeited the game to Cal this year. I believe you guys have reported on that extensively.
A lot of people have been ripping on Stanfurd and I'm not gonna stand for
that. Frankly. I mean,
People are kinda confused.
Oh Steve, you're a Cal guy. How come you're sticking up for the Stanfurd guys?
Razor: I sense your righteous indignation.
Steve: I'm a little upset. I mean, these guys are getting ripped
on!
What people fail to recognize is these guys stuck together as a team and
they made this decision as a team!
These guys are intelligent guys, they got in there, into Stanfurd. You don't have to do a lot once
you're there, but they got in there.
Once you get in, you get golf cart and your pass, you're greenlighted all the way.
So anyway, these guys made the decision as a team and they are smart because they did get in there.
So, they realized ahead of time, the humiliation and embarrassment they would bring on the entire
University!
To make that decision, knowing that was coming, takes a lot of guts. I mean, these guys got guts.
Razor: So here's your song defending them.
Steve: I don't know if it's exactly defending them. It's just more of an Ode to just mark this
moment in history.
