It seems this Montgomery guy knows a little bit about coaching. Cal completed a fabulous opening weekend of conference play with an impressive 81-71 win over Arizona State. The Bears sit atop the Pac-10, tied with UCLA at 2-0. After the Arizona game on Friday night, Monty noted in his understated way, "I think this, at least for right now, validates that we can play in this league."
