The conference-only stats are the most interesting to me. It shows similar competition levels. It also shows how the teams have been playing lately -- all the early season ups and downs are dropped out.
The top three home run hitters are Bears. Arioto has 5; Kostreba and D. Henderson have 4. Echavarria is tied for fourth.
Four of the top six slugging percentages are Bears: Arioto, Kostreba, Henderson and Echavarria.
Bears lead by a lot in hitting. They haven't cooled off against Pac-12 pitching.
Dallas Escobedo of ASU is coming on strong. She is second in ERA. She had some very bad outings early in the season, but has been more consistent in league play.
It's a small sample size (9 games for most teams) but it gives a good current sense of the teams.
