I have a picture of the Cal Victory Cannon viewed from the North East so that you can see Memorial Stadium (must not be recent since there is still the Blue Zone tarps at the far end of the field). The stadium is full. It is a beautiful day and you can see over the top of the stadium looking South West.
And the cannon has just gone off showing a large puff of white smoke.

Washington State. Roth comes off the bench to lead the Bears to their first W in 1975. It was while Coach White and Hackett were running off the field at halftime at this game that the decision was made---Roth would be the #1 QB.

no worries...the uniforms almost looked like Georgia, but I knew that wasn't Athens, and Joe wasn't playing as of yet

Joe started in Athens in 1976. Had a great game. Remember thats the game he and Wesley Walker set the longest pass completion record of 88 yards. Broken last year by Maynard to Allen at UW.

Also should note that in my next update of the Joe Roth site, there will be some photos from the 1976 Cal va. GA game.

Cal played in Corvallis in 1976. Cal lost 10-9 and it was a significant upset by the Beavers. Roth had a horrible day.
