Please address the issue of the awful headline in Ted Lee's story about Tyrone Wallace and why it was left up for days in the face of overwhelming condemnation.

Just heard from my son that WR #42 Spencer Briare kicked off the team this past week for missing tutoring classes. I didn't know if you knew this. He's listed on the 2013 Spring Roster, though.

MB ... wanted to check with you first to see if this link to Dykes press conference video http://www.bearswithfangs.com/ is appropriate.
There's a subscribe button on the site but it just looks like it allows one to get content and is not a paid subscription.
Thanks (and thanks for BI and all your informative posts).

Moraga, I was at the awards last night and took some video of it. Will I be allowed to post on here? And if I do, should it only be on the BI members only board...or on the Football board?

Hi Jim. It certainly has been a tough year. Who are your top picks for the new coach? I'm very excited about the future. Whoever gets job, you could be successful year one.

Hey MB: Were you going to post photos of the stadium or are they already there and I can't find them? Thanks

There must be a great story surrounding Robert Mullins and Cal football. Would love to see one on the BI front page.

First and foremost I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your candid and even handed comments with Dawgman. I am writing a personal note because I don't want to say this publicly on this board and put you in an awkward position.

I am a long time Bear fan. But more recently I have invested a great deal more time, interest and money in Cal football. While I am by no means wealthy or a major donor, I do care a great deal about Cal and support as much as I can. I am the son of a phi beta Kappa grad from '56 school of social work at Cal who taught me to revere Cal.

In general I have defended JT as a coach on this board. And I really detest bitter and personal criticism of Cal personnel. But recent event have made me concerned about what I see as a pattern at Cal. I think Cal has a dysfunctional releationship to success. People that are too successful too quickly threaten the established order or hierarchy and are pushed out. Whether this happened with Dunbar or not, I don't know. But it seems that the University uses the monetary excuse at the worst times. As you know, the Pac-12 has become an extremely high profile and lucrative conference under Scott and teams like Oregon, Stanford and Washington have joined USC in making a strong committement to their football programs. Certainly Cal has done so as well with the SAHPC. But I wonder if administratively, the University is willing to have football be as high a priority as it is for some of our competitors in the conference. Sports is really just a division of the entertainment sector, even at major intellectual institutions like Cal. Shaq Thompson, would be such a great star at Cal that merchandise sales alone could probably have paid Tosh's salary. Certainly he would have put more people in the seats. Hopefully he still comes to Cal. But I really do not understand why, to put it your terms, you don't "find a way to get it done" knowing that Lupoi could close the deal and has for the last few years. I know I am making it sound like all I care about is winning. But I am more concerned about the health of the football program from an organizational standpoint and I am concerned that success is too far down on the list of priorities at Cal for it to be reasonably competitive in what has clearly become a viciously contentious Pac-12. Of course it should be below ethics and certain principals and practices but it should not be placed unnecessarily low in the list of priorities. I hope the egos amongst the administrative heads of the football program are not threatened by the future Lupois of Cal and that this is a one time tragedy with limited consequences for us all. Go Bears!
